Do I need a LINE account?
Yes. Texts arrive in a chat in your own LINE account, so you need the LINE app to connect.
Can I use LINE with other destinations?
Yes. Connect up to 3 destinations from Email, Telegram, LINE and Discord, and each text goes to all of them.
Will verification codes reach me in LINE?
If a service texts the code to your Tether Mobile number, it arrives like any other text. The service compatibility page shows which services send codes to which numbers.
How quickly do texts reach LINE?
Tether Mobile forwards each text as soon as your number receives it.
Which countries can I get a number in?
Numbers in the US (real mobile numbers), Canada, the UK and the Netherlands. Need another country? Request a country and we’ll email you when we add it.
How long does it take to get my number?
Most activations take a minute or two. We email you when your number is ready.
Do you keep my texts?
Only long enough to deliver them. About an hour after a text reaches your destinations, we delete it, including our copy of the carrier’s notification. If a delivery fails, we keep the text for retries and delete it within 7 days. We never sell your data or use your texts for advertising. Read the privacy policy for the details.
