Frequently asked questions
Can people call my Tether Mobile number?
No. Tether Mobile numbers receive texts only: no calls, and no outgoing texts or replies.
Can I use more than one number?
Yes. Use one for shopping and another for sign-ups. All your numbers share one SMS allowance.
Do services see my personal number?
No. They only see the Tether Mobile number you give them. Your personal number stays with your friends and family.
Do you keep my texts?
Only long enough to deliver them. About an hour after a text reaches your destinations, we delete it, including our copy of the carrier’s notification. If a delivery fails, we keep the text for retries and delete it within 7 days. We never sell your data or use your texts for advertising. Read the privacy policy for the details.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your dashboard whenever you like. Your number is removed when your subscription is cancelled.
