Your Tether Mobile number is yours and permanent as long as your subscription is active.
Is it tied to my phone or carrier?
No. There’s no SIM card to install. Texts reach your connected apps, so any device that runs them works.
Can it replace my mobile number?
Only for receiving texts. Tether Mobile plans don’t include outgoing texts, replies, calls or mobile data, so keep a mobile plan for those.
Can I bring my own number?
Yes, for US numbers. Porting is free. Start a port request from your dashboard. You’ll need your account number, transfer PIN and a recent bill from your current carrier.
What happens if I cancel?
